Hi, I’m Sam Robinson.

I’m a writer and content designer living in Oakland, California. 

I work for PayPal, where I create and implement content strategies for a wide range of digital experiences: from user-interface copy and navigational menus, to emails and mobile notifications, to help documentation and sign-up flows.

I also write a newsletter featuring short- to medium-form essays about endurance, ideas, and culture. Sign up on Substack.

I received my PhD in History at UC Berkeley in the spring of 2017.  My academic research focused on the intersections of philosophy, science, and religion in late-seventeenth-century England.  I studied history and philosophy for my BA at Furman University in South Carolina.
