I am a writer and researcher living in Oakland, California. You can find a portfolio of my work on this site. My writing has been published in Outside Online, Motiv Running, and Trail Runner Magazine. Additionally, I have created content for outdoor firms, including GU Energy Labs, Salomon Running, Soar Running, and Ragnar Relays.
Many of my stories focus on the culture, experience, and inner life of distance running. I see sport as a lens that provides otherwise unseen perspectives on the world around us.
I received my PhD in History at UC Berkeley in the spring of 2017. My academic research focused on the intersections of religion, science, and philosophy in late-seventeenth-century England. I studied history and philosophy for my BA at Furman University in South Carolina.
